U.S. Industrial Production Falls in Line with Expectations
In October, industrial production in the U.S. declined in line with market expectations. Industrial production fell by 0.3% compared to the previous month in October, which was also the expected decrease of 0.3%. Compared to the same month last year, industrial production decreased by 0.3%.
The industrial production figure for September was revised from -0.3% to -0.5%.
In October, the capacity utilization rate came in at 77.1%, which was below expectations of 77.2%. The rate for September was revised from 77.5% to 77.4%.
In the manufacturing sector, production fell by 0.5% in October, which aligned with the expected decrease of 0.5%.
