Today’s Top Gainers on Borsa Istanbul

The BIST 100 index moved sideways today.

The BIST 100 opened the day with a rise towards 9,500 points. However, as selling accelerated, the index fell to the 9,400 level during the day, where it found support. In the last hour, the BIST 100 moved around the 9,420 band, remaining flat, while it has a nearly 2.8% value increase for the week. The index outside of BIST 100 saw a half-point rise towards the closing.

Looking at the sector indices, tourism, food, and factoring stood out today. Communication, trade, and metal goods were the sectors that saw the most decline towards the closing. Banks remained flat in parallel with the index in the last hour, while holding companies experienced a rise of nearly half a point.

In the Istanbul Stock Exchange, IMASM, HUBVC, and DIRIT were among the biggest gainers today. CEOEM, DMSAS, and KERVN stocks were the ones that lost the most.

In the domestic currency market, it was observed that the dollar/TL traded at 34.42 with a 0.25% rise, while the euro/TL rose by 0.2% to 36.3, and gram gold increased by nearly 0.4% to 2,845 TL.

In the foreign currency markets, European indices had a downward-weighted appearance towards the closing, and U.S. indices also started the day with a decline.
