Musk: AI will be smarter than the smartest human by next year

On the other hand, Musk said that the lack of advanced chips prevented the training of the version 2 model of Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot of the xAI initiative. Musk founded xAI last year as a rival to OpenAI, which he sued for abandoning its original mission of developing artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity without profit. Musk said that training the Grok 2 model required about 20,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs, while the Grok 3 model will require 100,000 Nvidia H100 chips.
