Apple will use its own displays

The technology giant, which has stopped using Intel chips in Mac computers, now aims to use its own displays in mobile devices. According to information obtained from sources familiar with the matter, Apple aims to start this process by changing the screen of its highest-priced Apple Watch product by the end of next year. The company considers this step as part of its attempt to have more control over the design and features of its products and to use its own components. LG Display shares fell 4 percent The technology giant had stopped using Intel chips in its Mac computers and switched to chips it produced itself. Now it plans to do the same with the wireless components in its iPhones. LG Display shares fell as much as 4.1 percent after Bloomberg’s news on the subject was published. Shares of Samsung Electronics Co., which is traded in Seoul, also gave back most of their daily gains.
