Elon Musk's plan to ban Apple devices
Elon Musk, the owner of companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, and X, stated that if it integrates its operating system with OpenAI, it will ban Apple devices in its companies on the grounds that it will cause a security breach. Elon Musk, the owner of companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, and X, shared on his X social media account about his collaboration with OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, which he announced at Apple's developer event WWDC. Stating that Apple devices will be banned in his companies if it integrates OpenAI at the operating system level, Musk said, "This is an unacceptable security breach." Musk stated that visitors to the company will also have to hand over their Apple devices at the door, and that the devices will be stored in a Faraday cage. Musk, who also criticized Apple for relying on OpenAI instead of developing its own artificial intelligence application, said, “It is clearly ridiculous that Apple is not smart enough to produce its own artificial intelligence, but can somehow ensure that OpenAI will protect your security and privacy. Apple has no idea what is actually going on when it hands your data over to OpenAI.” Apple announced today that its intelligent personal assistant Siri will be able to access its chatbot ChatGPT when needed, and that the integration with ChatGPT will come to iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia later this year. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, said in a post on his social media account, "I'm excited to partner with Apple to integrate ChatGPT into their devices later this year. I really think you'll like it."
