Private sector's foreign credit debt declined in November
The total loan debt of the private sector in Turkey from abroad decreased by $7.2 billion compared to the end of 2021, reaching $161.2 billion. The private sector's foreign loan debt was $161.2 billion as of the end of November. When examined by maturity, it was observed that long-term loan debt decreased by $8.3 billion compared to the end of 2021, reaching $152.6 billion, while short-term debt excluding commercial loans increased by $1.1 billion, reaching $8.5 billion. When the total loan debt of the private sector from abroad was examined by the remaining maturity, the total principal repayments to be made within 1 year became $40.9 billion.
